Takes a spin with the Lu Kang SP155 baby designs, a pair of 2-way high-end speakers imported from Taiwan. The Lu Kang brand holds a special appeal for me. It represents a longstanding family business based in Taiwan, spanning nearly 40 years under the guidance of father and son duo, Frank and Rox Shih. Among their offerings are three distinct designs, with the stand-mounted SP155 speakers being the smallest and most affordable option in their lineup.
 
They look strong, sturdy, solid, and...odd, all at once.
These 8 Ohm speakers feature a modified 155mm Audio Technology C-Quence Series 15H mid/bass unit and a 19mm OW1-FS tweeter from Hiquphon, both customized to Lu Kang’s specifications.
 
Rox explains, “We designed the crossover ourselves. It's unique and follows a 'less is more' approach, featuring only three components inside the speakers, with capacitors built to our specifications and our own cabling.”

Regarding the bass port, the company tested a forward-firing model but found that the rear-firing option delivered better sound. They also discovered that a larger port didn’t perform as well.
On the rear, you'll find a pair of high-quality, sturdy binding posts compatible with both banana and spade terminations.

目前Spoey系列共有3个型号，尺寸最大的叫Spoey230，其次是Spoey200，而本次介绍的主角则是体积最小的Spoey155书架喇叭。采用2音路2单元设计的Spoey155，搭载1只丹麦Hiquphon制作的0.75寸OW1软半球高音，下方还有1只155mm中低音，是特别向Audio Technology订制的单元，整体频率响应80Hz~14.7kHz。分音设计也是由鹿港音响亲力亲为手工生产，除了数据测试之外，也通过实际聆听的方式找到最佳设计。
