As an audio engineering student, our Founder,
Kenix Chua set up her own studio at home with acoustic panels to record her assignments. When she posted her results online, she received many enquiries. That was when, ten years ago, she set up her business.
Hers is a niche business, and she is one of the very few women in the industry, with a lot of repeat customers and word-of-mouth referrals. From day one she has always done the marketing herself, consistently on social media.
Our Story
Begins Acoustic actually started from a Home based Pre-Order Acoustic Solution. It all started by selling Acoustic Foams from home. Every process start from small.
Through perseverance and determination to overcome adversity, we have come to a conclusion to give our customers a better environment & space for demo.
Our team of five now in year 2024, including herself, provide consultation and installation services for studio acoustic treatment, as well as supplying sound-proofing materials.
We customise solutions for residences and commercial properties to balance acoustics and interior design.
Keeping prices competitive is a key concern for Kenix,
along with ensuring the quality of the products she imports.
Before 2020, Kenix often flew to China to consult with her trusted factory, where they customise products according to her requirements.

Kenix pursue her Audio Engineering studies at Ocean Institute Audio Technology (OIAT), during her studies, she setup her very own home studio and discover that the room should be treated by acoustic foams in order to create a better sound enviroment to complete the mixing. Then, she founded the company Begins Acoustic, with the intention of providing cost-effective, high-quality acoustic foam solutions, ensuring top-notch sound without compromise.
With 9 years of experience and a deep love for audio,
Kenix decided to delve further into Audio Visual Equipment Setup. Now, Begins Acoustic offers a complete solution for those seeking Acoustic and Audio Visual products.

In 2021, Begins Acoustic formed a partnership, evolving from a solo endeavor into a company with a multi-functional team that encompasses Technical Support, Project Management, and Human Resources roles.
Ky Chua, the linchpin of our operations, adeptly manages the team's responsibilities. With a background in mechanical engineering, as the Operations Manager, he seamlessly navigates acoustic specifications and installation procedures.
